Proven Performance

Acting as the general contractor, Tower Arctic ltd. successfully completed the construction and delivery of Qulliq Energy Corporations new corporate office building in Iqaluit, Nunavut. The project site was situated in a neighborhood of Iqaluit known as Lower Iqaluit which was originally developed in the mid 1970s. The site redevelopment project consisted of the demolition of this existing structure and constructing a new 3-storey 855 Sq. Meter corporate office building.  A unique component of this construction project was the foundation system designed and installed. Unlike most buildings throughout the arctic which are commonly erected on either ad freeze or rocket socket pile foundations, a thermosyphon system was implemented to enable a concrete slab on grade foundation for this project.
